Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum offers a flexible and student-oriented educational approach, encouraging innovation in learning methods. One of the methods adopted in this context is Project Based Learning, which emphasizes learning through real and relevant projects. This study aims to examine innovation in the application of methods in Arabic language learning in accordance with the Merdeka Curriculum. The research method used is qualitative, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. This study uses qualitative methods to analyze the implementation and effectiveness of innovation in learning. Qualitative methods allow researchers to explore in depth the processes and experiences faced by teachers and students during the implementation of this method. The results of the study show that the application of project based learning in Arabic language learning produces two main projects: a combination of question papers and a vocabulary table. These projects not only facilitate a deeper understanding of Arabic language material but also increase student engagement in the learning process. These findings emphasize how the project based learning method can be adapted within the Merdeka Curriculum framework to support more effective and contextual language learning.
