Abstract

Prostitution is one of economic sector activities in the informal sector illegal because these activities are against the law and norms but still provide income for economic activities. The localization of Gang Sadar which is located in Karangmangu, Baturaden, Banyumas area has had a big influence and has become a place to depend on the livelihoods of local residents. The purpose of this study is to determine how much these externalities have an impact on economic development so that they are able to influence the morality and economy of the community and whether the existence of these localizations can influence economic actors to choose their livelihoods. The research tool used to find out how big the externalities are by using a socio-economic approach and business ethics with an Islamic economic perspective. This research uses descriptive qualitative analysis method. With primary data sources obtained from the results of interviewing economic actors around the conscious alley and secondary data obtained from the Karangmangu village government, Baturaden Banyumas uses data analysis techniques by reducing data, presenting data, and verifying data using triangulation of data as a validity test. the data presented then draws conclusions. The externalities that occur have a large enough impact on local residents such as the owners of boarding houses, hotels, restaurants and ojeg workers who depend a lot on the existence of prostitutes in Gang Sadar and affect the community to make a living around the Gang Sadar area. The externalities that occur not only affect economic activities, but also affect social conditions and moral development, lifestyle and economic ethics for the local community.
