Abstract
This research aims to describe the role of teachers in Increasing students motivation at class 3 students in SD Qaryah Thayyibah Elementary School (case study on students with slow learning). The teacher plays an important role in the education of students. The presence of teachers and their duties as educational process. This research examines the role of teachers in enhancing the learning motivation of students, particularly slow learners. A slow learner is student who has delays in understanding lessons. The type of research conducted by the researcher is field research that is descriptive and qualitative in nature. Observation, interviews, and documentation are methods used to collect data. The object of this research is the role of teachers in Increasing students motivation at class 3 and slow learner students. The results of this study indicate that the role of teachers can help enhance the learning motivation of slow learner by employid various roles, such as: 1) the teacher as an educator, who provides positive reinforcement and models behavior in accordance with etiquette, such as speaking politely, being honest, responsible, and other good behaviors. 2) the teacher as a guide, who mentors and directs through approaches involving collaboration with other teachers, engagement with parents, and interaction with slow learner student. 3) the teacher as a learning resource, who in addition to using books as learning materials, also employs play-based methods, which can be very effective tools for increasing motivation, engagement, and learning outcomes for students. 4) the teacher as a motivator, who consistetly offers small appreciation to acknowledge students’ efforts, thereby motivating them and boosting their selfconfidence because of receiving rewards in the form of praise, applause, and extra points.
