Abstract

They take consideration of the interests and talents of the students, making learning more dynamic and self-paced. Teachers have difficulties because students frequently struggle with vocabulary, grammar, spelling, readiness, and motivation. Games, especially those using gadgets, can increase engagement and enhance how well the content is received. Thus, the researcher perform the research to determine the implementation of Lumi Education in discovery learning for teaching writing at seventh grade of Junior High School 3 Purbalingga. This research utilized a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected by observation, interview, and documentation. The acquired data is submitted to a stringent analytical procedure that include data reduction, data display, and conclution. The finding revealed that the use of Lumi Education in discovery leaning for teaching writing was implemented at Junior High School 3 Purbalingga. The findings show that the teacher used Lumi Education in descriptive text material. Results indicate that the students showed significant improvement in writing skills, vocabulary usage, and creativity. In addition, teachers use discovery learning steps in teaching writing with Lumi Education, following the preparation stage and implementation stage. The implementation stage consists of 6 learning steps; stimulation, problem statement, data collection, data processing, verification, and generalization. Teacher said positive experience with this media potential to foster independent learning and critical thingking skills. Futhermore, this research recommends that the teacher can explore more of expansion interactive feature in utilizing Lumi Education.
