Abstract

Abstract : Education in schools should not only make students smart in academic terms, but there must be a change in character that becomes good in each individual. As in the case in learning in natural schools which have interesting educational programs, good habits that support the growth and development of the character of students, and the implementation of fun learning. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe the process of managing nature based learning in shaping the character of students at SD Alam Hayuba in order to achieve goals effectively and efficiently. This study uses qualitative methods, with data collection techniques using interview techniques, observation, and documentation studies. The data analysis method uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Based on the data that has been obtained, it can be said that the process of managing nature based learning in shaping the character of students at SD Alam Hyuba has been going well. Mnagement activities include : (1) Learning planning that is already good in making learning program plans, (2) Organizing learing which divides the task of responsibility to the teacher according to the portion, (3) The implementation of learning that implements the learning plans that have been prepared previously, (4) Evaluation of learning that oversees every learning process that has taken place and asseses the achievement of educational programs on the development of students. Nature based learning management activities that are managed effectively dan efficiently can shape the character of students at SD Alam Hayuba who have religious character, high curiosity, care for the environment, care socially, and are responsible.
