Abstract

The discourse on social education, although it has been rife lately, remains an interesting thing. Low self-awareness in the social spirit and there are still many parts of humans who have not been able to appreciate fellow humans and are still selfish Such an assumption, of course, is one proof of the failure of social education, especially in the community environment. M. Quraish Shihab is one of the commentators who often discusses the issue of education in the verses of the Qur'an in some of his works. This makes the writer interested in studying his thoughts about social education in Surat al-Na>s and how social education contained in Surat al-Na>s in the study of de Saussure's semiotics. This research is a library study (libarary research) using a descriptive analysis approach. The data analysis technique used is content analysis. While the data collection technique uses the documentation technique. The results of this study indicate that: The value of social education in Surah al-Nas in the interpretation of al-Misbah study of semiotics de saussure include: (1) Surah al-Nas verses 1-3 have the value of disciplinary education shown by the nature of God which is positioned as Maliki Al-Na>s thought the value of love education was shown through the nature of Allah Rabbi al-Nas God who educates humans, cares for humans. (2) Surat al-Nas verses 4-6 have the value of tolerance education which is indicated by the words al-waswa>s, al-khanna>s and al-jinnah all of these words exist in human beings. Where there are demons of human type and jinn. Demons and jinns are hidden while human demons are seen. Here, human demons are seen, they will always tease and invite disobedience in various ways so that they can come with him. Therefore, humans must always be careful and tolerant in associating with humans.
