Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of natural material collage techniques in Cultural Arts and Skills learning at SD Negeri 1 Sumampir and its impact on student learning outcomes. The research used descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were fourth grade students with a total of 30 students and 1 class teacher. The results showed that project-based learning through natural material collage techniques was effective in developing students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. In the cognitive domain, learners' understanding of collage techniques and creativity in using natural materials varies, with the majority in the good category, although some still need guidance. Furthermore, in the affective domain, learners showed progress in independence and creativity, although some needed further assistance. While in the psychomotor domain, the skills of preparing tools and materials and applying collage techniques show good results, although some learners still need improvement in technical aspects. Overall, the natural materials collage technique was able to improve learners' fine motor skills, creativity and problem-solving ability and showed that the natural materials collage technique improved creativity, fine motor skills, environmental awareness and local culture, as well as students' learning motivation. It also fosters independent and collaborative attitudes, thus making a significant contribution to arts and skills learning. The results of this study are expected to be a reference in the development of art-based learning strategies and this technique is effective as an innovative and meaningful learning strategy for elementary school students.
