Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of shirkah-based investment management in the management of Pramoeria Space Cafe in Purwokerto, focusing on the implementation of the shirkah model and its impact on financial performance and business growth. Shirkah as a sharia-based investment model offers fair sharing of profits and risks, and supports the principles of transparency and togetherness in business management. The research approach used a qualitative method with a case study type. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observation, and analysis of related documents. The research was conducted at Pramoeria Space Cafe, with the research subjects being the shirkah partners involved in managing the cafe. The results showed that the implementation of shirkah-based investment management at Pramoeria Space enabled effective collaboration between partners with diverse backgrounds. This system encourages shared responsibility in café operations and results in sustainable management. As a result, the café has demonstrated significant business growth, characterized by increased profitability and an expanding customer network. However, this study has several limitations. First, the research was conducted on a single case study, making the results not yet generalizable to other cases. Second, the limited duration of the study might not have been sufficient to capture the long-term dynamics of implementing syirkah in business management. Future research is recommended to expand the scope to include various types of businesses that apply the syirkah model, thereby providing a more comprehensive understanding. Additionally, long-term studies using a longitudinal approach can be conducted to gain deeper insights into the impact of syirkah-based investment management on business performance.
