Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to describe the management of the English Full Day School program to improve English speaking skills at MTs Negeri 3 Cilacap. This research was carried out at MTs Negeri 3 Cilacap, using a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out using observation, interview and documentation techniques. The data in this research will be analyzed using the model flow proposed by Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The analysis process is carried out from the time the data is obtained until the completion of writing the report. The findings of this research are 1) Planning for the English Full Day School program to improve English speaking skills at MTs Negeri 3 Cilacap including program delivery, internal meetings, division of tasks, required infrastructure, program financing, recruitment of new students, resources humans, and planning learning materials. 2) Implementation of the program begins with the recruitment of new students, learning is carried out all day from 07.00 to 15.30, study time is on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. In an effort to develop strengthening English language skills in the English Full Day School program, the English teacher as the program facilitator has prepared sub programs, namely English daily conversation, English speaking area, tourist hunting, in collaboration with English language course institutions from Pare Kediri and public speaking. 3) Evaluation of program implementation is carried out once a year, namely supervision of English teachers, madrasah heads assisted by program coordinators carrying out supervision and monitoring of the program. At the end of the school year, program evaluation is generally carried out through evaluation meetings which aim to determine the achievement of program objectives, progress and obstacles encountered in implementing the English Full Day School program at MTs Negeri 3 Cilacap. To find out the extent of the program's achievements/success, English teachers have a track record of student productivity in the English Full Day School program in the form of student monitoring records which will be used as a benchmark for the success of students' learning of English speaking skills.
