Abstract

ABSTRAK Pemberdayaan ekonomi merupakan usaha untuk memotivasi, mendorong serta menyadarkan masyarakat akan potensi yang dimiliki, dan upaya untuk mengembangkan potensi tersebut dengan kata lain pemberdayaan ekonomi bertujuan merubah struktur ekonomi dan mempercepat pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional. Home industry rebana di Desa Kaliwadas merupakan salah satu dari banyaknya penghasil rebana di wilayah Jawa Tengah yang terletak di Desa Kaliwadas yang memiliki keunikan tersendiri dibanding home industry lainnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah dapat menggambarkan proses pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh home industry rebana melalui para pengrajin dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, dengan jenis penelitian lapangan atau (field research). Adapun pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara, serta dokumentasi dengan tujuan untuk menggambarkan informasi secara lebih mendalam. Hasil pembahasan penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa proses pemberdayaan yang dilakukan oleh home industry rebana di Desa Kaliwadas telah terlaksana dengan baik sehingga mampu meningkatkan kesejahteraan sosial hal ini dibuktikan melalui tiga tahapan proses pemberdayaan yaitu tahap penyadaran dan pembentukan perilaku, tahap transformasi pengetahuan dan keterampilan, tahap pendayaan atau peningkatan kemampuan intelektual. Adapun peningkatan kesejahteraan sosial yang dicapai meliputi pendidikan, kesehatan, pendapatan/gaji, memiliki rumah dan fasilitas, serta taraf hidup dan pola konsumsi. Kata Kunci: Pemberdayaan Ekonomi Masyarakat, Home Industry, Kesejahteraan sosial ABSTRACT Empowerment of the economy is an effort to motivate, encourage, and raise awareness among the community about the potential they possess, and endeavors to develop this potential. In other words, economic empowerment aims to change the economic structure and accelerate national economic growth. The rebana home industry in Kaliwadas Village is one of the many rebana producers in the Central Java region located in Kaliwadas Village, which has its own uniqueness compared to other home industries. The purpose of this research is to describe the process of economic empowerment of the community carried out by the rebana home industry through its craftsmen in improving social welfare. This research uses a qualitative research method, with a type of field research. Data collection in this study uses observation, interviews, and documentation with the aim of describing information in more depth. The results of this research show that the empowerment process carried out by the rebana home industry in Kaliwadas Village has been well implemented, thus able to improve social welfare. This is evidenced through three stages of the empowerment process: the stage of awareness and behavior formation, the stage of knowledge and skills transformation, and the stage of empowerment or improvement of intellectual ability. The increase in social welfare achieved includes education, health, income/salary, owning a house and facilities, as well as living standards and consumption patterns.
