Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh gaya belajar kognitif dan kecemasan matematika terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Cilongok. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Cilongok yang berjumlah 284 siswa. Sedangkan sampel dari penelitian ini diperoleh sebanyak 166 siswa berdasarkan rumus Slovin, yang diambil menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Adapun pengumpulan data melalui tes kemampuan pemahaman matematis serta angket gaya belajar kognitif dan kecemasan matematika. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu regresi linier sederhana dan regresi linier berganda dengan uji statistik t dan uji statistik F. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah 1) terdapat pengaruh gaya belajar kognitif siswa terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Cilongok. Hal ini berdasarkan nilai thitung sebesar 7,632 ≥ ttabel 1,974 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 serta memiliki persamaan Ŷ = -11.072 + 1.755X1. 2) terdapat pengaruh kecemasan matematika siswa terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Cilongok. Hal ini bedasarkan nilai thitung sebesar 14,628 ≥ ttabel 1,974 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 serta memiliki persamaan Ŷ = -7,526 + 1,406X2. 3) Terdapat pengaruh gaya belajar kognitif dan kecemasan matematika siswa terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Cilongok. Hal ini bedasarkan nilai Fhitung sebesar 122,533 ≥ Ftabel 3,05 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 serta memiliki persamaan Ŷ = - 28,537 + 1.755X1 + 1,406X2. Artinya variabel gaya belajar kognitif dan kecemasan matematika dengan kemampuan pemahaman matematis memiliki pengaruh positif serta keduanya memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan. Jadi semakin tinggi gaya belajar kognitif dan kecemasan matematika akan tinggi pula kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa. Besar pengaruh bedasarkan koefisien determinasi berganda sebesar 60,1% sehingga 39,9% kemampuan pemahaman matematis dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti. This research aims to determine the influence of cognitive learning style and mathematics anxiety on the mathematical understanding abilities of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Cilongok. The type of research used is quantitative research with survey methods. The population in this study was all class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Cilongok, totaling 284 students. Meanwhile, the sample from this research was 166 students based on the Slovin formula, which was taken using a simple random sampling technique. The data was collected through tests of mathematical understanding abilities as well as cognitive learning style and mathematics anxiety questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used are simple linear regression and multiple linear regression as well as the t statistical test and the F statistical test. The results of this research are 1) there is an influence of students' cognitive learning styles on the mathematical understanding abilities of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Cilongok. This is based on a tcount value of 7.632 ≥ ttable 1.974 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 besides that it has the equation Ŷ = -11.072 + 1.755X1. 2) there is an influence of students' mathematics anxiety on the mathematical understanding abilities of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Cilongok. This is based on a tcount value of 14.628 ≥ ttable 1.974 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 besides that it has the equation Ŷ = -7.526 + 1.406X2. 3) There is an influence of students' cognitive learning styles and mathematics anxiety on the mathematical understanding abilities of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Cilongok. This is based on the Fcount value of 122.533 ≥ Ftable 3.05 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Apart from that, it has the equation Ŷ = - 28.537 + 1.755X1 + 1.406X2. This means that the between cognitive learning style variables and mathematics anxiety with mathematical understanding abilities has a positive influence and both have a significant influence. So the higher the cognitive learning style and mathematics anxiety, the higher the student's mathematical understanding ability. The magnitude of the influence based on the coefficient of multiple determination is 60.1% so that 39.9% of mathematical understanding ability is influenced by other variables not studied.
