Abstract

ABSTRACT Learning English in Indonesia still faces various kinds of problems, including at the al-Ikhsan Beji Islamic Boarding School, Kedungbanteng, Banyumas. One of the causes is a lack of confidence in speaking or applying English in everyday life. This research aims to find out how to develop English language intelligence in students through the Training of Trainer program at the al-Ikhsan Beji Islamic boarding school in Kedungbanteng, Banyumas. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects in this research were taken from program heads, teachers, students or students. The object of this research is the development of English language intelligence in students through the Training of Trainers program. The results of this research conclude that the training of trainers program has four management functions, namely 1) planning in the form of making steps and policies for the training of trainers program, 2) organizing in the form of dividing teaching tasks, learning arrangements, and dividing schedules, 3) implementation in the form of opening teaching and learning programs and activities, and 4) evaluation in the form of focus group discussions for teachers and exams for participants.
