Abstract

Instilling character values is a process of instilling actions in human life that are educational in nature which are carried out continously, such as halaqah tarbiyah activities. In principle, halaqah tarbiyah is an activity guided by kiyai and teach-ers, each of whom has their own conentration of knowladge. This teachers sits in the corner of one of the pillars of the mosque, then the students are surrounded in a circle (forming a halaqah) after that, this teacer conveys his study. Islamic boarding schools are Islamic based education that implements a system where students live and live in the same environment as teachers where there are rules that must be implemented. The Al-Kautsar Jajawar Banjar Patroman Islamic Boarding School has a halaqah activity which focuses on developing and instil-ling the religious caharacter values of its students with halaqah tarbiyah activities which are carried out continously. The type of research used in this thesis research uses field research which is presented in a qualitative descriptive manner. The object of religious character values through halaqah tarbiyah activities. Data collection uses non-participant observation, interviews and documentation methods. Test the validity of the data using trigulation. The result of this research is that istilling the religious caharacter values of santri through halaqah tarbiyah activities at the Al-Kautsar Jajawar Banjar Patroman Islamic Boarding School include opening, reading verses of the holy Qur’an, delivering kultum, mutb’ah yaumiyah practices, which are then instilled and developed by the students in the field so that the values of religious character are instilled.
