Abstract

ABSTRACK Sirau village, Karangmoncol District, Purbalingga Regency is one of the villages with the largest broom crasftmen in Purbalingga Regency which has been hereditary and becomes the main livehood until now. This has an impact on improving the lives of the community, especially the welfare of the broom craftsmen of Sirau Village. In addition to welfare, of course every business should apply good and proper business ethics. In the sale of broom sticks there seems to be price inequality set in some conditions. Therefore, this study aims to determine how the understanding of the broom handicraft business of Sirau Village toward Islamic business ethnic and the application of Islamic business ethics to the broom handicraft business of Sirau Village. This research is field research with the type of qualitative research with descriptive analysis approach. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation. While data analysis in done by reducing data, presenting and the drawing conclusions. The data checking technique in this study uses the triangulation method. The result showed that the application of Islamic business ethics in the broom making process by craftsmen, marketing by collectors to the responses given by consumer was in accordance with Islamic business ethics. This can be seen from the statements given by the informant to the interview questions. The principle of Islamic business ethics in the broom handicraft business of Sirau Village which consist of tauhid, adl, ikhtiar, ihsan and fard are in accordance with the business being run.
