Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji biografi dan peranan tokoh K.H. Ahmad Moeghofir dalam kehidupan sosial keagamaan di Kebondalem Purwokerto. K.H. Ahmad Moeghofir lahir pada tahun 1938 dan wafat pada tahun 2003. Tujuan penelitian ini guna mendeskripsikan biografi dan peranan sosial keagamaan K.H. Ahmad Moeghofir di Kebondalem Purwokerto. Metode yang digunakan penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian sejarah yang terdiri empat tahapan; heuristik, verifikasi, interpretasi dan historiografi. Dalam menganalisis penelitian ini menggunakan teori biografi dan teori peran. Adapun penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan sosial keagamaan. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu Kiai Moeghofir adalah seorang pendakwah yang mampu berperan dalam meningkatkan taraf keislaman bagi masyarakat Kebondalem Purwokerto. Ia berhasil membangun mushala, pemukiman pelajar, madrasah diniyah, mengadakan rutinan pengajian harian hingga Peringatan Hari Besar Islam (PHBI) serta mendirikan pondok pesantren. Hal itu cukup memberikan perubahan bagi masyarakat dalam meningkatkan aktivitas agama Islam di Kebondalem. Kata Kunci: K.H. Ahmad Moeghofir, Biografi, Peran dan Kebondalem. � K.H. Ahmad Moeghofir in the social and religious life of Kebondalem Purwokerto. K.H. Ahmad Moeghofir was born in 1938 and died in 2003. The purpose of this study is to describe the biography and socio-religious role of Kiai Moeghofir in Kebondalem Purwokerto. The method used in this research is the historical research method which consist of four stages: heuristics, verification, interpretation and historiography. In analyzing this research using biorgraphical theory and role theory. This research uses a socio-religious approach. The result of this study are that K.H. Ahmad Moeghofir is a preacher who is able to play a role in icreasing the level of Islam for the people Kebondalem Purwokerto. He succeeded in building a mushala, a residential area, madrasah diniyah, holding regular daily recitations up to the Commemoration of Islamic Holidays (PHBI) and establishing a boarding school.
