Abstract

Line Webtoon has a definition as a comic that is distributed via the internet network. Line Webtoon contains a new feature known as coinshop (buying and selling coins). Coins are a special currency on the Line Webtoon application on Android and IOS that readers use to buy content and gain access to the next episode. Coin purchases on the Line Webtoon application can be done via credit, Dana, ShopeePay, GoPay and credit cards. This research was conducted to determine the mechanism of buying and selling coinshop on the Line Webtoon application and a review of sharia economic law on buying and selling coinshop on the Line Webtoon application. This research is a field research, namely research in data collection carried out in Grendeng Village, North Purwokerto District, Banyumas Regency. The source of data conducted in this study is the primary data source, namely Line Webtoon application users in Grendeng Village, North Purwokerto District, Banyumas Regency. Secondary data sources are data obtained from various documents such as books, tables of records and so on. The data collection methods used are observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data display, and final conclusion. The results showed that buying and selling coinshop on the Line Webtoon application is a legitimate trade because there are already pillars and conditions of buying and selling in accordance with Sharia Economic Law. namely, there are aqidāni (seller and buyer), Ma'qud 'Alaih (price and object of sale), and Sighat (ijāb and qabūl). Losses suffered by Line Webtoon users occur due to the negligence of Line Webtoon users because they do not read the terms and conditions in the Line Webtoon application.
