Abstract

The success of children's learning at school is determined by the teacher. Teachers who are able to motivate children to learn well, then children will have a high enthusiasm for learning. This study aims to analyze the teacher's role in learning motivation of early childhood at RA Muslimat NU Masyithoh 13 Sokaraja. Thistype of research uses a qualitative description of the field. In collecting data, researchers used three technical methods, namely observation techniques, interview techniques, and documentation techniques. Purposive sampling technique where the subjects obtained by researchers are school principals, teachers, children, and parents. The object studied is the teacher's role in learningmotivation in early childhood at RA Muslimat NU Masyithoh 13 Sokaraja. The data analysis uses data reduction techniques, data presentation, and draws conclusions. The results of the study show that the teacher's role has a significant impact on early childhood learning motivation. Teachers at RA Muslimat NU Masyithoh 13 Sokaraja apply the Montessori approach, which involves activity-based learning and developing children's independence. The learning model applied at RA Muslimat NU Masyitoh 13 Sokaraja is also very varied and innovative in an effort to increase student learning motivation. The models used are: 1) the WholeBrain Learning model which consists of the Teacher Greeting technique (Teman Bunda), the Meaningful Symbolic Movement technique, and the Inter-Child Teaching technique, 2) Verbal Strengthening through Praise; 3) Rewards and Punishment. From here, the role of the teacher at RA Muslimat NU Masyithoh 13 Sokaraja in early childhood learning motivation is very important. Teachers not only provide academic knowledge, but also help children develop interest, passion and independence in the learning process. With the Montessori approach and the attention given by the teacher, children become more active, passionate and enthusiastic in learning. The implication of this research is the importance of the teacher's role as a facilitator, motivator, mentor, and model of behavior in creating a learning environment that supports early childhood learning motivationat RA Muslimat NU Masyithoh 13 Sokaraja.
