Abstract

The fire tragedy and the relocation of Kroya Market in Karangmangu Terminal caused traders to suffer quite a lot of losses. However, traders can overcome their losses by increasing success through business performance such as sales, capital income, labor, marketing outreach, profits and also assets. Even though the business has not been fully successful, traders are still trying to improve their business. This type of research uses qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, documentation and literature with research suhick are the traders in the kroya market. Then for the data analysis method used is data reduction, presentation of data and conclusions. While the data validity technique used data triangulation techniques. The results showed that the majority of traders experienced losses and decreased income and sales after the fire tragedy and market relocation at Karangmangu Terminal. However, some actually experienced an increase because the main factor was access to more strategic locations and the many promo discounts so that many consumers came and shopped. In addition to efforts to increase the success of its business performance, not only from the market traders themselves, but also pressure from the Cilacap Regency Government so that Tebia pays attention to the condition of the Kroya market, which until now is still unclear about the fate of its development.
