Abstract

Channeling funds based on Sharia principles in the form of financing is one of the activities carried out by Sharia banks. In carrying out fund distribution activities, banks have financing risks, namely Non Performing Financing. Non Performing Financing if not addressed immediately will affect the health and performance of the bank. So it is necessary to have a problem-solving financing strategy to minimize the higher risks and greater bank losses. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis method. The results of this study are that various factors cause problematic financing in microfinance at Bank Syariah Mandiri KC Banjar, including customer business turnover instability, changes in customer character, misuse of financing funds, lack of monitoring by the bank of financing customer businesses, risk beyond control/force majeure. The strategy carried out by Bank Syariah Mandiri KC Banjar in solving problematic microfinance is by confirming to customers the factors causing delays in installment payments, intensive billing, issuing warning letters (SP) I, SP II, SP III, rescheduling, reconditioning, restructuring, foreclosures and auctions of financing guarantees, the last is writing off customer accounts. Based on an analysis of Islamic financial perspectives, Bank Syariah Mandiri KC Banjar in solving problem financing applies sharia principles by recommendations and rules in Islamic economics.
