Abstract

The process of learning mathematics does not always run smoothly according to the learning objectives. One of the inhibiting factors in the process of learning mathematics is students who have difficulty learning mathematics (dyscalculia). In order for the objectives of a lesson to be carried out, better efforts are needed from the teacher in using learning strategies that are adapted to the needs of students with disabilities in the mathematics learning process. The purpose of this study was to find out the learning strategies for students with disabilities in learning mathematics in grades 2A and 3B at MI Ma'arif NU Ciberem. This study uses a field research method that is descriptive qualitative. The location studied was MI Ma'arif NU Ciberem, Sumbang District, Banyumas Regency. The subjects of this study included class 3B teachers, students with disabilities in classes 2A and 3B, guidance and counseling teachers and class 2A teachers and the head of the madrasah. The results of this study indicate that the learning strategies for students with disabilities in learning mathematics in grades 2A and 3B are using deductive-inductive strategies, expository strategies, and complete learning strategies, which include learning approaches and learning methods used by teachers to be able to improve quality, learning dyscalculia students. This learning strategy can be seen from the cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects of dyscalculia students, who appear to be incapable and have not succeeded in every indicator in each domain, so that students with disabilities still need detailed guidance and direction from the class teacher during the mathematics learning process.
