Abstract

ABSTRACT Behavior that is not in accordance with the principles of Islamic business ethics is often carried out by business people, especially market traders. The principle of knowledge of Islamic business ethics absolutely must be owned by every individual who carries out economic activities, be it a businessman or trader. In today's business reality, many people think that there is no relationship between business and ethics. Even though business and ethics should not be seen as two things that are not related. Because business, which is one of the worldly symbols, is also partly oriented towards the afterlife. This study aims to analyze the business ethics applied by vegetable traders in the Sewarege market according to Islamic law. In addition, this research is categorized as research in the form of descriptive analysis. Data collection methods used consisted of observation, interviews and documentation. Technical data analysis uses 3 stages which include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that most of the Sewarege traditional market vegetable traders had implemented business ethics according to Islamic law. Vegetable traders at the Sewarege market also always try to be fair in serving consumers, not cheating in terms of scales and in determining prices. They are also responsible for the sustenance that Allah SWT has given by setting aside a portion of their wealth for less fortunate relatives. After the implementation of business ethics in accordance with Islamic law, buyers are loyal in shopping, friendship ties are getting tighter, and they also not only benefit, but also receive the blessing of Allah SWT.
