Abstract

The current developments in the circulation and abuse of drugs are very frightening, concerning and dangerous, indicating that drugs will destroy the lives of the next generation of the nation. This can result in a decline in the quality of the younger generation who are currently a national asset for the country's growth. The government, namely the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), supported by the Ministry of Social Affairs, has provided rehabilitation services to restore their lives. One of them is the Sentra Satria Office of the Social Rehabilitation Center for Drug Abuse Victims, which is a Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. Researchers used a type of field research (field research) using descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. The purpose of this study was to find out the implementation of vocational therapy for victims of drug abuse in the "Satria" Baturraden Center and to look at the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of vocational therapy for victims of drug abuse in the "Satria" Baturraden Center. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of vocational therapy for victims of drug abuse in the "Satria" Baturraden Center is carried out every Wednesday and Thursday. In the first 2 months all residents are introduced to a variety of vocational therapies and after that they choose according to their interests which they want to learn more about. Vocational therapy that is currently running is Graphic Design, Barbershop, and Catering. The most important factor supporting the implementation of vocational therapy is the seriousness of the resident when undergoing therapy, and also having high enthusiasm, while the limiting factor is the lack of awareness of the resident having committed a wrong deed so that the process of implementing therapy is not optimal.
