Abstract

The background of this research is children with special needs who experience disturbances in the growth and development of children who require special treatment. One of the disorders of their growth and development is mental retardation / mental weakness. These disturbances appear in the form of bad behavior such as children with special needs who say bad things, litter, and even girls take off their skirts. Because some of these things show the importance of applying the values of akhlakul karimah to children with special needs. This research is a field research, using qualitative research methods. Presentation of data is done descriptively through data collection techniques with observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. In this study, it contains implementation related to the internalization of the values of akhlakul karimah based on learning by doing in children with special needs (study at Perwira Nature School and Purba Adhi Suta Elementary School, Purbalingga Regency). The results of the study show that these two schools have a learning by doing model. Both of them have similarities in the stages of implementation, namely the planning of PAI learning and implementation through learning by doing models such as midday and midday prayers in congregation, projects, joint prayers and outbound, as well as interaction between friends. These two schools have differences in their implementation, found in the intensity of implementing learning by doing and children's participation in the community at Sekolah Alam Perwira more often than SD Purba Adhi Suta.
