Abstract

Grammar is the rules governing the arrangement and relationship of words in a sentence. It is important to be mastered by English learners. However, students often find difficulties in learning grammar. Considering this fact, the researcher designed a grammar application on both mobile and computer for teaching grammar to 10th-grade students in senior high school. This research is categorized as a R&D (Research and Development) research with ADDIE model including five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects of this research were 10th-grade students of MAN 1 Banyumas consists of 41 random respondents from 2 classes. In collecting the data, interviews and observations were conducted. Then, questionnaires were distributed to 2 language experts and students. The results of the study revealed that overall, web-based application learning can help 10th-grade students understand the grammar lessons based on the standard scoring criteria as shown in the questionnaires.
