Abstract

Nira Satria is a cooperative established to improve and save the problems that often occur in sap farmers. This cooperative provides counseling and supervision related to the production of organic coconut sugar. With various products of empowerment for the sake of independence and welfare the members. Nira Satria getting certified organic Institute Certified Control Union Certification (CUC) in Jakarta. Nira Satria is only cooperative that operating business of coconut sugar in Banyumas. This type of research is field research with qualitative methodology. The primary data source is represented by observation, interview and documentation. Than secondary data comes from books, internet, journal, and previous research that talks about member participation, cooperative, and empowerment. Techniques of analysis data used model miles and huberman that is data reduction, presentation of data, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results showed that members participation in utilizing products empowerment of Kebun Bibit Desa (KBD) and Kambing Bergulir (KB) still not good, seen from 9 respondents (50%) taken from samples have got mangosteen tree seedlings, and coconut tree seedlings but until now the trees have been dead all and there are only 1-2 trees left from 5-10 seeds provided by the cooperative. Sap farmers are ever maintain Kambing Bergulir (KB) 2-3 goats from cooperative but until now has returned all because limited time and energy to maintain it. And there are goats is sick also. Than the active members there are 7 from samples still maintain mangosteen tree seedlings and coconut tree seedlings remaining 3-10 trees until now. And than the pasive members are 2 sap farmers from samples not yet utilizing products empowerment because not get it from cooperative. Keywords : Member Participation, Cooperative, andEmpowerment.
