Abstract

Teacher is animportant component in the education system that influence in the quality of education. Theyhave task to teach the students, so they should be able to manage learning well, create an effective situation for learning, be fun and educates condition, be master of teaching materials well. So, they are veryimportant to implement pedagogic competence in improving the quality of learning especially PAI teachers. They are have to attitude and good habit because become an example for their students. The issue that will be answered in this researche about how the pedagogic competence of PAI teachers in SMA Negeri 5 Purwokerto. This study aims to describe and analyze the Pedagogical Competence of PAI Teachers in SMA Negeri 5 Purwokerto, Banyumas District. This research can be categorized as field research, and the type of research is descriptive qualitative research with taking research location in SMA Negeri 5 Purwokerto, Banyumas District. The object is pedagogic competence of PAI teachers in SMA Negeri 5 Purwokerto. Subjects in this research are the principal, head curriculum, PAI teachers, and students.The technic of collecting data uses observation, interview, and documentation that use Miles and Huberman data analysis methods consist of three grooves are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The resultis pedagogic competence of Islamic education teachers in SMA Negeri 5 Purwokertoshowed by understanding of educational foundation by implementing the principles of learning, understanding the students, developing the curriculum by focusing on the characteristic of the student, understanding the ability wether cognitive, affective, and psychomotoric then for the learning use a scientific approach. Implementing the education that’s educates is doing by teachers with make student as a subject. On the learning, teachers use technology to add the resourch of science. And thenthe evaluation using some assessement, like attitude or affective, knowledge or cognitive and skills or psychomotoric. And also developing ability of students who have potential can enter to Rohis organization where many program there are tartil, tilawah, hadroh and Islamic vocal.
