Abstract

Teacher performance can be improved through the principal supervision activities of the principal and the work motivation of the teacher. Teachers who have high work motivation and supported by good principal supervision will be able to improve their performance. This study discusses the problems among others; 1) Is there any influence of the principal's academic supervision on teacher work motivation in junior Istiqomah Sambas Purbalingga ?; 2) Is there any influence of the principal's academic supervision on teacher performance in junior Istiqomah Sambas Purbalingga ?; 3) Is there any influence of work motivation on teacher performance in SMP Isiqomah Sambas Purbalingga ?; 4) Is there any influence of academic supervision and work motivation on teacher performance in junior Istiqomah Sambas Purbalingga ?. So the purpose of this research are: (1) to know the influence of principal academic supervision on teacher work motivation in junior Istiqomah Sambas Purbalingga; (2) to know the influence of principal academic supervision on teacher performance in junior Istiqomah Sambas Purbalingga; (3) to know the influence of work motivation on teacher performance in junior Istiqomah Sambas Purbalingga; and (4) to know the influence of principal academic supervision and work motivation on teacher performance in junior Istiqomah Sambas Purbalingga. Approach and research is quantitative-correlational conducted in junior Istiqomah Sambas Purbalingga with population and sample counted 32 people. The research variables consist of: (1) 2 independent variable / independent variable, that is principal academic supervision (X1) and work motivation (X2); and (2) 1 dependent variable / dependent variable, that is teacher performance (Y) with data collection method is by using questionnaire, observation and documentation. In this research the data analysis is by using technique of regressive regression analysis and multiple regression. The results of this study indicate that: 1) There is a significant influence of academic supervision on teacher work motivation in junior Istiqomah Sambas Purbalingga.The amount of academic supervision contribution to teacher performance is 98.1% and other 1.9% influenced by other factors outside of academic supervision. 2) There is a significant influence of academic supervision on teacher performance in junior Istiqomah Sambas Purbalingga. The amount of academic supervision contribution to teacher performance is 96,7% and other 3,3% is influenced by other factors outside of academic supervision. 3) There is a significant influence of work motivation on teacher performance in junior Istiqomah Sambas Purbalingga. The amount of work motivation contribution to teacher performance of 95,0% and 5% other influenced by other factors outside of work motivation. 4) There is a significant influence of academic supervision and work motivation on teacher performance in junior Istiqomah Sambas Purbalingga. The amount of academic supervision and work motivation contribution to teacher performance is 96,7% and 3,3% is influenced by other factors outside of academic supervision and work
