Abstract
Banking is a financial institution that has a very important role in economic activities, because by maintaining financial performance through credit activities and various services provided by banks, banks can serve various needs in various economic and trade sectors optimally. One of the methods used to maintain the bank's financial performance is to predict the potential for bankruptcy early in order to control all the existing circumstances. This study aims to analyze the prediction of potential bankruptcy by using the Springate Model at PT. Bank Muamalat Indonesia for 2012-2018. This type of research is a type of quantitative descriptive research. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data, and the data analysis method used is the bankruptcy prediction model, the Springate Model (S-Score) using four variables representing liquidity ratios X1, profitability ratios X2, profitability ratios X3, and activity ratio X4. From the results of S-Score analysis research that has been done at PT. Bank Muamalat Indonesia for the period 2012-2018 can be seen that PT. Bank Muamalat Indonesia is a company that is in a bankruptcy position because the value is less than 0.862 (S <0.862). This can be seen from the small value of the S-Score from 2012-2018. Namely in 2012 the value of S-Score was 0.359, in 2013 the value of S-Score was 0.350, in 2014 the value of S-Score was 0.408, in 2015 the value of S-Score was 0.372, in 2016 the value of S-Score was 0.305, in 2017 the value of The S-Score is 0.271 and in 2018 the S-Score is 0.364.
