Abstract

Anto Djamil Batik House is one of the largest Banyumasan batik businesses in Sokaraja. Production is an important problem for the company because it greatly affects the profits which are obtained by company. Production is an activity to create utility at now and in the future. Production management is applied in the manufacture of its products which prioritizes quality as a competitive excellence in the business, in creating quality products many things are considered and prioritized, such as elements that support the production process, principles and efforts to create quality products, and sales systems and marketing. The object of this case research is production management using the TQM (Total Quality Management) approach and analyzing production management at the Anto Djamil Batik House. This research includes the type of field research. In collecting data the author uses a method of observation methods, interviews, and documentation. Whereas in the analysis, the compiler uses descriptive data analysis. This is a research method which intends to make a description of situations or events. The purpose of this study is to determine the production management which is implemented by the Anto Djamil Sokaraja Banyumas Batik House through the Total Quality Management (TQM) approach. The implementation of production management through the Total Quality Management (TQM) approach which implemented by Anto Djamil Batik House it has carried out management functions. But the most prominent are: Organizing, which is the main responsibility of the top manager. Furthermore, Actuating, namely: quality must not be assessed after being finished goods, but since the beginning (since the selection of raw materials) and, Quality must be focused on consumers and evaluation must be based on consumer interests. so Anto Djamil Batik House is able to compete and more superior in business competition by optimizing the capabilities and resources that the company has continuously.
