Abstract

Gumelar sub-district is a mountainous area that is quite fertile but, because the water conditions are very dependent on rainfall, making peasent difficulty in trying to farm, this condition makes most farmers Gumelar carry out other businesses namely goat livestock According to Darmawan, empowerment refers to the ability of people, especially vulnerable and vulnerable groups, to have access to productive resources that enable them to increase their income and obtain the goods and services they need. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of community empowerment program through Etawa goat to increase the income of farmers in "PEGUMAS" group in Gumelar village, Gumelar sub-district. This research uses quantitative research method. The result of this research indicates that the influence of Etawa goat empowerment program has a significant influence on the increase of farmer’s income in "PEGUMAS" group. Through the value of coefficient of determination know that 76.7% increase in income farmers caused by community empowerment program Etawa goat livestock, while the rest by other factors.
