Abstract

Masjid Agung Baitussalam Purwokerto merupakan masjid terbesar dan dengan kapasitas terbesar di Purwokerto. Masjid ini juga memiliki banyak jamaah dengan latar belakang yang beragam, salah satunya beragamnya organisasi masyarakat Islamnya. Adanya pandemi Covid-19 yang secara mengejutkan terjadi menjadi tujuan penelitian. Tujuan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan motif-motif jamaah masjid terhadap penanganan wabah penyakit selama masa pandemi Covid-19 yang ada di Masjid Agung Baitussalam Purwokerto. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan yaitu jenis penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif untuk mengungkap motif-motif jamaah Masjid Agung Baitussalam dalam katitannya dengan penanganan wabah penyakit selama masa pandemi Covid-19. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan wawancara dan dokumentasi serta menggunakan teknik sampling yaitu Non-Probability Sampling berupa Sampling Purpose yang selanjutnya dilanjutkan dengan penggunaan Snowball Sampling. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu teori tindakan sosial oleh Max Weber. Teori ini menjelaskan bahwa setiap individu memiliki motif tindakannya yang terbagi kedalam empat jenis motif tindakan, tindakan rasionalitas intrsumental, tindakan rasionalitas nilai, tindakan afektif, dan tindakatan tradisional. Hasil yang diperoleh dar penelitian ini adalah, sikap jamaah Masjid Agung Baitussalam Purwokerto adalah positif. Sikap positif ini dipengaruhi oleh tiga komponen yaitu, komponen kognitif, komponen afektif, dan komponen konatif. Motif tindakan sosial jamaah Masjid Agung Baitussalam Purwokerto kaitannya dengan penanganan wabah penyakit selama masa pandemi Covid-19 yaitu, pertama, tindakan rasionalitas instrumentasl, jamaah mematuhi aturan yang ada karena jamaah ingin tetap dapat berkegiatan atau hanya sekedar dapat beribadah di masjid. Kedua, tindakan rasionalitias nilai, jamaah melihat nilai keagamaan (menggunakan nilai-nilai dari Agama Islam seperti tentang ikhtiar dan kemaslahatan) dalam mematuhi aturan. Ketiga, tindakan afektif, pemahaman mentaati aturan membentuk emosional dari para jamaah sehingga senantiasa memiliki cara pandang yang baik terhadap kebijakan-kebijakan masjid selama masa pandemi. Keempat, tindakan tradisional, praktik (kebiasaan) dalam Islam yang dilakukan jamaah termasuk dalam salah satu protokol kesehatan yang sangat dianjurkan. Kata kunci: Sikap, Jamaah Masjid, Tindakan Sosial, Covid-19 The Masjid Agung Baitussalam Purwokerto is the largest mosque and with the largest capacity in Purwokerto. This mosque also has many worshippers with diverse backgrounds, one of which is the variety of Islamic community organizations. The existence of the Covid-19 pandemic which surprisingly occurred became the purpose of the study. The purpose of this study aims to reveal the motives of mosque worshippers towards handling disease outbreaks during the Covid-19 pandemic at the Great Mosque of Baitussalam Purwokerto. The research is a type of field research, the type of qualitative research. This study uses a descriptive approach to uncover the motives of mosque congregation Masjid Agung Baitussalam Purwokerto in relation handling disease outbreaks during the Covid-19 pandemic. Data collection techniques in this study were conducted by interview and documentation and using a sampling technique, namely Non-Probability Sampling in the form of Sampling Purpose, which was then followed by the use of Snowball Sampling. The theory used in this study is the theory of sosial action by Max Weber. This theory explains that every individual has an action motive which is divided into four types of action motives, instrumental rationality actions, value rationality actions, affective actions, and traditional actions. The results obtained from this study is the mosque congregation Masjid Agung Baitussalam Purwokerto attitudes is positive. This positives attitude is influenced by three components, namely cognitive components, affective component, and parts of conative component. The motives for the sosial actions of the mosque congregation of the Masjid Agung Baitussalam Purwokerto are related to the handling of disease outbreaks during the Covid-19 pandemic, namely, first, instrumentasl rationality actions, pilgrims obey the existing rules because pilgrims want to continue to be able to do activities or just be able to worship in mosques. Second, the rationale of values, pilgrims see religious values (using values from Islam such as about endeavor and benefit) in obeying the rules. Third, affective action, understanding of obeying the rules to form the emotions of the worshippers so that they always have a good perspective on mosque policies during the pandemic. Fourth, traditional actions, practices (customs) in Islam carried out by mosque congregation are included in one of the highly recommended health protocols.
