Abstract

The tradition of the Indonesian people since the time of their ancestors that is still carried out today is the pilgrimage to the grave. Grave pilgrimage activities have good potential along with the increasing world Muslim population. The more people who make pilgrimages it will have a significant impact on the environment around the tomb tourism. As in the tomb of Sheikh Makhdum Wali. Syekh Makhdum Wali's tomb tourism is a religious tourism that is most in demand by the people of Banyumas, with many tourist visitors being able to support the community's economy. This study aims to determine the potential map contained in the tomb area of Sheikh Makhdum Wali which can prosper the community by mapping analysis based on different sectors and in the perspective of Islamic economics. Judging from the purpose of this research is a type of descriptive qualitative research that involves the process of collecting data, interpretation, and collecting the final results simultaneously. The results of the study show that there are three potentials in Sheikh Makhdum Wali's tomb tourism that can prosper the community, namely the potential for pilgrimage tourism itself which can provide business opportunities for the surrounding community because many visitors or groups of pilgrims from various regions come. This can be a source of income for traders, travel agencies, as well as cleaners and parking attendants. Then the potential for trade, through trading around the tomb tourist area can support the needs of daily life. The last is the potential for education, with the education of the local community, it is easy to send their sons and daughters to education to improve the degree of self-quality so that prosperity is always achieved. From a sharia tourism perspective, the potential for pilgrimage tourism, trade potential, and educational potential in the religious tourism area of Sheikh Makhdum Wali's tomb is seen from tourist facilities, products sold, services provided, activities held, and community services that do not conflict with Islamic law.
