Abstract

Islam regulates human behavior in terms of consumption that is beneficial for the benefit of life. Islam regulates consumption behavior, namely reasonable consumption, meaning that it is not too stingy and not excessive. Meanwhile, excessive consumption behavior will lead to consumptive behavior. Consumptive behavior is influenced by several factors, including lifestyle, income and religiosity. The development of an increasingly capitalistic lifestyle as it is today has also penetrated the lives of religious people. Darul Falah Islamic Boarding School in Purwokerto is one of the Islamic boarding schools whose students are all santri. Life as a student makes students who should have high religiosity get involved in a modern lifestyle where their income is used for large consumption, causing consumptive behavior. This research uses quantitative research methods. The sample in this study amounted to 105 respondents. Statistical analysis methods used are validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple regression analysis, t test, F test and coefficient of determination. The results showed that: 1) lifestyle had a partial effect on consumptive behavior with tcount 8,912>ttable 1,986 and sig. 0,000<0,05. 2) Income has a partial effect on consumptive behavior with tcount 2,884 > ttable 1,986 and sig. 0,005<0,05. 3) Religiosity has a partial effect on consumptive behavior with tcount 2,290 > ttable 1,986 and sig. 0,012 < 0,05 4) Obtaining sig. 0,000 <0,05 and Fcount 33,431>Ftable 2.189 that there is a simultaneous influence between lifestyle, income and religiosity on consumptive behavior.
