Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh locus of control terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas XI SMA Ma’arif NU 1 Kemranjen Kabupaten Banyumas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dan jenis penelitian adalah kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah 135 siswa kelas XI SMA Ma’arif NU 1 Kemranjen Kabupaten Banyumas. Dalam penelitian ini sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 100 siswa dengan mengggunakan rumus Slovin. Variabel penelitiannya yaitu locus of control sebagai variabel bebas dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika sebagai variabel terikat. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket untuk mengukur locus of control, tes digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji validitas dengan rumus perhitungan Product Moment Pearson dan reliabilitas dengan rumus perhitungan Cronbach’s Alpha. Kemudian dilakukan uji prasyarat yaitu uji normalitas Kolmogorov-Smirnov, uji keberartian regresi dan uji linieritas regresi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif antara locus of control terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas XI SMA Ma’arif NU 1 Kemranjen Kabupaten Banyumas sebesar 5%. Kata kunci: Locus of Control, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika. This research is purposed to determine the influence of locus of control to student ability of mathematics problem solving in 11th grade of SMA Ma’arif NU 1 Kemranjen. The research method was a survey and the type of research was quantitative. Population of this research are 143 students in 11th grade of SMA Ma’arif NU 1 Kemranjen. In this study, the sample was 100 students by using the Slovin formula. The research variables were locus of control as a independent variable and ability of mathematics problem solving as a dependent variable. Data collection techniques used questionnaire sheets to measure locus of control and test sheets were used to measure ability of mathematics problem solving. The data analysis techniques used the validity test by Pearson Product Moment formula and reliability by Cronbach's Alpha. Then the analysis prerequisite test is Kolmogorov-Smirnov test normality, significance test and linearity regression. The data analysis techniques used the simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was a positive influence between locus of control to student ability of mathematics problem solving in 11th Grade of SMA Ma’arif NU 1 Kemranjen at 5%.
