Abstract

Motivation is very important for student learning. Especially for small children, especially in terms of studying religious knowledge. At TPQ Darussalam, there are ups and downs in the number of students, this is the main problem in this research. This research aims: To find out how the learning methods used in increasing the learning motivation of TPQ Darussalam Purwokerto students, Knowing how the Koran teacher's efforts can increase the learning motivation of TPQ Darussalam Purwokerto students, Knowing the increasing motivation of TPQ Darussalam students during the pandemic. This research is a qualitative research or field research that is descriptive (describes in words). The data was obtained by means of interviews, observation, and documentation. While the data analysis technique used is a qualitative descriptive analysis technique. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the increase in students' motivation in learning at TPQ Darussalam, namely: Enthusiasm of students in learning, leaving early, increasing the number of students. The learning methods used vary, what is interesting is the outdoor learning method which is routinely carried out once a week, as well as for refreshing the children so that they are not bored studying in class.
