Abstract

The domestic political polemic of the United States is unrelentingly attracting the attention of the public. Domestic issues are serious enough to be discussed by United States politicians and political officials in the interest of America's future progress. Political issues are also inseparable from news in the mass media, one of which is the online media Bloomberg.com and Foxnews.com. The media as a means of public information is able to construct audiences with political coverage ahead of the 2020 United States presidential election. Researchers examined using Robert N Entman's model framing analysis to find out how online media Bloomberg.com and Foxnews.com frame American political issues ahead of the 2020 presidential election. Robert N Entman's framing model consists of several analytical frameworks, namely; problem identification 1 causal interpretation 1 make moral a judgment, and treatment recommendation. The analysis framework is used to analyze data in the form of political news ahead of the 2020 United States presidential election from June to October 2020. Based on the analysis used in the framing framework, researchers obtained the results that Bloomberg.com and Foxnews.com framed political events ahead of the presidential election with the same frame that is the fierce battle of the two candidates to become the number one person in the United States. However, the results of both media seem to show that if Bloomberg.com has partiality to Joe Biden, Foxnews.com has partiality to Donald Trump
